Having not put anything on my blog since Tuesday, I have decided to do a 'review of the week'. This is what I can remember of it........
Wednesday we went to Senior Screen at the Odeon Cinema in Chelmsford. Its quite good because they now do it at Chelmsford which is a lot closer than Colchester - so we are happy about that. The car parking is also cheaper which Ian is particularly happy about! We saw "The Help" which is about the relationship between the middle class white Americans in the 1950s and their black maids. It was quite emotional but quite good.
Anna came over on Thursday and I met up with her in Chelmsford for a chat and catch up. In the evening we went to the Rectory for the start of our Lent Group course. It was all about being rooted and what that meant. Is it about living in the same area for many years? That definitely does not apply to Ian and me. Perhaps it is about being rooted in tradition, or for Christians it might mean being rooted in our faith and belief. Many people said that it was about being in a fellowship and support, especially when you are going through hard times. I can concur with that!
Friday - woke up feeling like I was getting a bit of a cold and cough. Hope this does not mean that I cannot have my IV on Monday?? Anyway, we were invited to our neighbours for coffee which was very pleasant with lots of chat. In the afternoon I went to Chelmsford and bought some clothes as Wendy had sent me a 20% off coupon for M&S. Seemed like a good opportunity to buy some clothes. Then onto Broomfield Hospital to have my blood test ready for Monday morning.
Saturday - and off to Charlotte a nd Scott's to help get their garden in order. Lots of plants needed cutting back and weeds dug up. After two car loads of greenery to the tip, it is now beginning to look a bit more respectable!
